this has got to be one of the most underrated songs ever made in history. the freedom of unsafe sex and the adrenaline rush of the moment. the fear of the unthought consequences afterwards. the expectancy. the wait. the negative. the memories. the attachment. the revelations. the doubt. the "looking after something (even if a clearblue pregnancy test)" to try to reminisce that unmatched feeling. and the genius production of the song, that pairs perfectly with the poetry of the lyrics and the rawness and transparency of the feelings being exposed. and i do need to talk about the lyrics. "praying in mp3", "there's broken blood in me that passed through my mother from her mother down to me"... LIKE LORDE YOU ARE A POET!!!!!!!! i get it that this one isn't for everyone (and i do think it was a bold move to release this). but for those who feel it (the raw, the rush, the clearness, the freedom, the poetry), you feel it with your soul. and it's different than anything else i've ever felt or heard.
